National News: Air Chief Marshal AP Singh praised India’s military response under Operation Sindoor. He said while the world struggles with long wars in Ukraine and Gaza, India showed a different path. According to him, wars must be short, focused, and effective. Prolonged conflicts only weaken nations and bring economic damage. Singh explained that Operation Sindoor proved how swift actions can crush terrorism. His remarks came during a defense event in Delhi attended by military officers.

Attack in Pahalgam valley

The operation began after terrorists attacked Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, 2025. Pakistan-backed terrorists killed 25 innocent tourists in the valley. The incident shocked the entire nation. Public anger grew as demands for action increased. Within two weeks, India prepared a strong military response. Operation Sindoor was officially launched on May 7. It was one of the fastest planned counter-strikes in India’s recent history.

Precise and powerful strikes

Indian forces targeted nine terrorist hideouts in the first stage of Operation Sindoor. Air strikes and ground actions were carried out with precision. More than 100 terrorists were neutralized in just four days. By May 10, the mission achieved its main goals. A ceasefire was declared soon after. The limited operation ensured minimal loss to Indian forces. Singh said this showed India’s capability to deliver quick, clear results.

Stopping war with wisdom

The Air Force Chief rejected claims that ending the operation early showed weakness. He explained that India’s purpose was to eliminate terror bases, which had been done successfully. Extending the war would have only wasted resources. He said a wise nation knows when to stop after achieving objectives. According to him, this is not surrender but strategic understanding. He added that Operation Sindoor stands as proof of responsible military planning.

Pakistan’s failed retaliation

Pakistan attempted to retaliate with drone and missile attacks. However, India’s advanced air defense systems intercepted and destroyed incoming threats. None of Pakistan’s efforts caused damage inside India. In return, Indian forces struck only terrorist and military targets. Singh said India deliberately avoided harming civilians. He warned that any such attacks in the future would invite stronger action. This clear message put Pakistan on notice about India’s resolve.

Economic and security impact

Air Chief Marshal Singh stressed that long wars hurt national economies. Resources get drained, industries suffer, and preparedness drops. He said India avoided these risks by completing Operation Sindoor in a short span. The quick victory restored peace in Jammu and Kashmir. Singh added that peace is as important as war. India proved that military strength can be combined with economic sense. This balance has strengthened the nation’s overall position.

India’s zero-tolerance policy

Singh underlined that Operation Sindoor is still active in parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces continue to hunt down small terror groups. He said India has adopted a strict zero-tolerance approach to terrorism. The world should recognize that India neither ignores attacks nor allows prolonged wars. Operation Sindoor is now being studied globally as a modern example. Singh concluded that India’s model ensures both security and stability for its people.
